In this article the author examines some of the political issues that fast track employees face during their ascent to the top. The author notes that while career advancement does have an extremely important rational and relevant side, their is also a very tricky political side that fast track employees must successfully navigate in order to get to the top. She mentions that a future research project should examine female employees who were on the fast track and focus on how they were derailed during the process.
