A Note on Tests for Exponentiality by Deshpande

Recently Deshpande (1983) has proposed a class of simple tests for testing exponentiality against the increasing failure rate average class of nonexponential probability distributions. These tests have a number of desirable properties. However, they suffer from some omissions. The object of this note is to provide the missing arguments so that the paper can be more useful.
