Cross‐Country Analysis of HRM Parameters in Emerging Markets: An Assessment of Measurement Invariance
评估了五个新兴市场国家(文莱、印度、约旦、沙特阿拉伯、阿联酋)人力资源管理参数的测量不变性,发现缺乏不变性,并为跨国比较研究提供建议。
Abstract In this paper we aim to critically discuss the challenges and benefits of using survey instruments (SIs) by measuring human resource management (HRM) parameters across five emerging markets – Brunei Darussalam, India, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. In so doing, we proceed to an assessment of the measurement invariance of HRM parameters measured by SIs across these five countries. Based on our field experience and empirical results showing lack of measurement invariance across these five national contexts, we provide recommendations for conducting comparative analysis of HRM parameters in emerging markets, ultimately contributing to the HRM convergence–divergence debate in this type of national context.
