Legend has it that every time someone says the word ‘Luddite’ out loud, somewhere in Silicon Valley a tech executive is jolted awake, bathing in sweat. In contemporary usage, Luddite has become a derogatory term of sorts, used to refer to people who are ‘against progress’ and afraid of technological change.
