A framework for managing soft factors in card-based systems implementation: a design science research approach
本研究提出了一个包含15个软因素的框架,用于管理看板等卡片式生产控制系统实施中的人为因素,并通过案例验证了其有效性,为管理者提供了优先处理这些因素的指导。
This study introduces a framework for managing soft factors in implementing card-based production control systems, such as Kanban, CONWIP, POLCA, and COBACABANA. We employ Design Science Research methodology, combining Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM), Fuzzy MICMAC analysis, and expert panels to propose a framework comprising 15 soft factors. This framework establishes a structured relationship among soft factors, guiding managers in prioritising and effectively addressing these elements. The framework was validated through a case study of a CONWIP implementation in a large manufacturing facility, showing that a systematic, layered approach helps prevent resistance and operational issues. Key insights include the importance of visible top management support, stress testing during pilot phases, empowering operators, and ensuring clear, user-friendly card information. These findings provide a practical guide for managing human factors in card-based system implementations. They enhance their success and contribute to both practical and theoretical understanding of card-based production systems implementation.
