The effect of interorganizational citizenship behavior on supply chain resilience: an organizational learning perspective
基于317家中国制造企业的问卷数据,研究发现跨组织公民行为通过关系学习和创新能力提升供应链韧性,且文化距离会削弱这一中介效应。
Purpose This paper aims to investigate the bridging role of relationship learning and innovation capability between interorganizational citizenship behavior (ICB) and supply chain resilience (SCR) from the perspective of organizational learning. It explores the moderating effect of cultural distance in this relationship and constructs a moderated mediation model to verify how these factors influence the overall performance of the supply chain. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted a questionnaire survey of 317 Chinese manufacturing companies that collaborate with foreign suppliers. The participants were senior managers of these manufacturing enterprises. The hypotheses were tested using regression models. Findings The empirical results support the reliability and validity of the model, confirming the mediating role of relationship learning and innovation capability in the positive relationship between ICB and SCR. Furthermore, cultural distance negatively moderates the mediating effect of relationship learning and innovation capability, indicating that different levels of cultural distance affect the effectiveness of ICB. Originality/value Starting from the perspective of practical organizational behavior strategies, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is the first to deeply explore the relationship between ICB and SCR. Through the discussion of organizational learning theory and analysis of empirical results, it enriches the existing literature on the antecedents of SCR.
