Impact of supply chain organisational learning on organisational role redefinition and supply chain risk management: the moderating role of market turbulence
研究了内部、供应商和客户三种供应链组织学习维度对焦点企业组织角色重新定义和供应链风险管理的影响,发现内部学习作用显著,市场动荡起调节作用。
The impact of three supply chain organisational learning dimensions – internal, supplier, and customer learning – on the organisational role redefinition and supply chain risk management of the focal firm is investigated in this study. Grounded in the organisational learning theory, we use data from 191 Bangladeshi manufacturing companies to evaluate the conceptual model's validity. The results show that internal, supplier and customer learning can influence organisational role definition. While supplier and customer learning do not affect supply chain risk management, internal learning has an evident influence. Supply chain risk management and supply chain organisational learning aspects are mediated by organisational role redefinition. The findings further demonstrate that market turbulence moderates the association between organisational role redefinition and supply chain risk management and the effect of internal learning. These results contribute to the extant literature by proposing a novel framework and reporting new findings that supply chain organisational learning is essential for firms to become more flexible, role-redefined, and risk management-aligned. Supply chain organisational learning was necessary for firms to become more organisational role-oriented and risk management-aligned. Knowledge sharing and flexibility nexus in firms’ operations and supply chain activities permits the dynamism for role redefinition and risk management.
