Fostering value facilitation through situated learning in communities of practice

Based on public service logic, this study empirically investigates how situated learning can develop professionals’ competence on value cocreation methods and skills in communities of practice and thereby foster value facilitation. The paper contributes by demonstrating how situated learning can be an effective tool in professionals’ systematic training on such skills and methods in a public service context and thereby can foster value facilitation by improving professionals’ ability to create and deliver service offerings with potential value.
