Abstract

In recent years, the restructuring of global supply chains, changes in industrial distribution, and especially the impact of the post-pandemic global transportation landscape have made port competition and cooperation more complex. However, current assessments of port resilience have overlooked the connections intra-regional and inter-regional ports, thereby reducing the accuracy of resilience evaluations, particularly in capturing systemic vulnerabilities and functional dependencies. To address this issue, this study develops a port node resilience identification model based on internal and external network coordination. The model analyzes the resilience characteristics and evolution patterns of ports, and, by considering the context of major emergencies, reveals the influencing factors and mechanisms at play. The study systematically captures the phased and short-term characteristics of the impact of disasters and crises on port operations, aiming to ensure that port node resilience evaluations are more aligned with real-world situations.
