Sustainable ETFs: A Systematic Bibliometric Analysis

ABSTRACT The growing discourse regarding climate risk and sustainability is drawing increasing attention, given that climate risk poses a significant challenge to the global community. We systematically synthesize the literature on sustainable funds to assess their role in achieving the dualism of climate risk mitigation and sustainable development. We use data from 1983 to 2023, containing 1787 articles from the Web of Science (WOS) and the Scopus database. Applying a hybrid bibliometric and content analysis approach, we uncover emerging trends and identify four distinct thematic streams. We outline a scope for future research and highlight theoretical and practical implications.
