The study consists of an explorative analysis of how union representatives in different regions of the world assess and react to the digital transformation in the postal and logistics sector. The sample includes 29 written statements by union representatives from all continents. The results show that trade union representatives identify comparable problems related to digitalization across different global regions, such as increased competition in the postal sector, job losses and deteriorating working conditions. Three trade union approaches can be distinguished in addressing these problems: state-centered approach, collective bargaining approach and privacy and control protection approach. The approaches vary depending on the specific situation in the national postal sector in terms of the perceived priority of these problems.
