This article reviews the increase in the cost of motoring in Ireland over the past ten years. The author examines increases in the cost of insurance, petrol, tyres, depreciation, repairs and replacement, servicing and oil costs on an annual basis. He concludes that the increase in the cost of motoring has fallen heaviest on the driver of the smaller cars. (TRRL)
