What care produces
超越对时间、金钱等投入的估值,从个人能力(健康、生活满意度)和社会能力(信任、合作)角度评估照护的产出,认为GDP只是众多投入之一,并建议在国民收入账户中补充非货币社会指标。
Abstract This paper looks beyond valuation of inputs such as time and money to consider the outcomes or ‘outputs’ of care provision, which can be partially assessed through measures of individual capabilities, such as health and life satisfaction, and social capabilities, such as levels of trust and cooperation. From this perspective, gross domestic product should be considered one of many inputs into the outcomes we care about the most. While expanding the national income accounts to include lower-bound estimates of the value of unpaid work remains a priority, these should be supplemented by assessment of non-monetary social indicators that offer a more complete picture of the returns to public investments in care provision.
