研究工作中接触自然如何通过提升员工活力,进而增强对配偶的支持,并发现家庭动机调节这一过程,为工作场所设计提供启示。
While emerging literature highlights the positive impact of contact with nature at work on work-related outcomes such as employees’ cognition, performance, and creativity, its potential work-family spillover effects on family-related outcomes remain largely unexplored. Drawing on the work-home resources model, this study investigates how contact with nature at work influences support to the spouse, focusing on the mediating role of vitality and the moderating effect of family motivation. Findings from a questionnaire survey and experimental study reveal that contact with nature at work enhances employees’ vitality, which in turn positively impacts their support for their spouse. Additionally, family motivation moderates both the direct effect of vitality on support to the spouse and the indirect effect of contact with nature at work on support to the spouse through vitality. This research offers theoretical insights and practical implications for integrating natural elements into workplace design to enhance employee well-being and improve family-related outcomes by exploring the work-family spillover effects of contact with nature at work.
