Abstract

Depletion of natural resources, environmental concerns, and stricter regulations necessitate a shift from linear supply chain to Circular supply chain 5.0 (CSC 5.0), a smart, regenerative, and resilient model. CSC 5.0 integrates digitalisation, sustainability, and adaptive processes addressing disruptions, resource scarcity, and carbon emissions. This study identifies the essential factors facilitating CSC 5.0 seeding through literature review and examine its dimensions and interrelationships using Grey influence analysis (GINA), followed by Exploratory and Confirmatory factor analysis, and SEM (AMOS) to explore relationships. Data were collected from 17 experts shaped the GINA and framework, while responses from 41 industry professionals validated it. The findings reveal ‘Smart Digital Infrastructure’, and ‘Zero Waste management’ being the most influential essential factors. These factors define CSC 5.0 dimensions: Eco-intelligent infrastructure, Smart Circular Supply chain, Smart Resilient Process, and Adaptive and Sustainable Supply Chain. The study provides actionable insights to develop sustainable, intelligent, and adaptable supply chains.
