Job creation in the hospitality industry: An application of the market model
本研究利用市场模型分析美国各州酒店业就业创造情况,发现该行业虽对经济波动敏感,但仍是重要的就业引擎,对理解行业动态和人才竞争有参考价值。
The hospitality industry is an essential engine of economic growth and job creation. However, while hospitality has long been recognized as a significant driver of employment, the level of competitiveness and responsiveness to economic trends in this industry can vary across states, affecting both job creation and talent attraction. Additionally, it remains unclear whether job growth in the industry is more influenced by broader economic conditions or competitive dynamics within the hospitality sector itself. This study explores which states have a competitive advantage in fostering job creation within the hospitality industry. Secondary data were analyzed using the market model, and findings reveal that, despite being highly sensitive to economic fluctuations at the state level, the hospitality sector remains an important driver of job creation. These insights are valuable for stakeholders looking to better understand the industry’s dynamics, manage workforce competition, and harness its potential as a source of employment.
