A dropped stitch in time: The experience of déjà vivait in tourism
本文在“似曾相识”概念基础上提出“似曾活过”,描述旅游中因物品或旅程无意唤起过去时空而产生的奇异感受,通过合作自传体研究揭示时间框架的编织与解构。
This article expands upon the well-known concept of déjà vu to develop the notion of déjà vivait. Encountered in association with tourism activities, journeys, or mementos that inadvertently recall former temporal surroundings, déjà vivait describes an uncanny feeling of having already lived a particular moment. Collaborative autoethnographic research illustrates the chronological confrontations that momentarily disorientate sense of past and present, making one aware of latent temporal patterns and their passing. Also, the kairological connotations employed to make sense of personal finitude, as is aroused by the juxtaposition of former young-adult and current middle-aged selves. By contributing to understandings of time in relation to tourism consumption, déjà vivait draws attention to chronological/kairological weavings and unravellings of temporal frameworks.
