Abstract

This article focuses on the two-step interval state estimation problem for continuous systems with aperiodic discrete measurements. First, based on digital redesign techniques, a discrete measurement observer with an exponential time-varying gain is designed whose estimation performance is close to the preconfigured optimal continuous measurement observer. Then, an interval state estimation is constructed by analyzing the bounds on the continuous measurement estimation error and the state matching error. Compared to discrete measurement interval estimation with monotone system theory, the constraint that the error systems need to be cooperative is removed in our proposed method. Finally, simulation examples illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.
