Abstract

The training manager's responsibilities can be grouped into three main functional areas: planning, execution and control. Training is essentially a service function with the primary objective of meeting the training needs of the organisation. The micro-computer, using appropriate software, has become a powerful tool for managing the training function during a recession. Few training managers are equipped to do battle in this environment.
